"My back pain will never go away; I've had it for decades and tried everything."
How it sounds in your head: I'm not young anymore. My spine has degeneration the X-rays prove it. I've done the injections, the therapy, the chiropractors. At my age, you don't bounce back. This is just part of getting older, and I need to accept it and stop being disappointed when nothing changes.
"Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals ALL your diseases."
-- Psalm 103:3Medical imaging becoming prophetic authority, declaring permanence over what God calls temporary and defeated at the cross.
The MRI literally shows the problem—deteriorating discs, nerve compression. It's documented, measurable, visible proof. He's carried this pain through his fifties into his sixties with no relief despite sincere effort.
He was an invalid for thirty-eight years—longer than most marriages. One encounter with Jesus, one command: 'Rise, take up your bed and walk.' Verse 9 says 'IMMEDIATELY the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.' Thirty-eight years undone in a moment.
I REFUSE the lie that time makes pain permanent. IT IS WRITTEN: God 'heals ALL your diseases'—and ALL means my back. Decades don't intimidate the God who raised Lazarus after four days dead. I am covered by the BARAK blessing, the same covenant protection that healed Isaac and Jacob into old age with strength. IT IS WRITTEN: 'By His stripes I AM healed.' My spine, discs, and nerves hear the Word of the Lord: BE HEALED. I receive my Bethesda moment TODAY—thirty-eight years or thirty-eight days makes no difference to Jesus.
The Father isn't looking at your X-rays and shaking His head—He's looking at the finished work of the cross and declaring, 'It is DONE.' He sees you like the invalid at Bethesda: one word away from walking out whole, carrying what used to carry you.
