"My analytical mind overthinks everything and blocks me from experiencing God spontaneously"
How it sounds in your head: I can't just 'feel' God like others do. I analyze, question, need logic. When people raise hands and cry, I'm in my head. My brain is a barrier to spiritual experience. I'm too rational for real intimacy with God.
"Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
-- Isaiah 1:18Religion: elevates emotional experience over intellectual encounter; creates hierarchy of 'spiritual' expressions
Worship nights feel forced. Everyone else seems lost in the moment while you're thinking about the theology of the lyrics. You've been told 'get out of your head and into your heart' so many times you believe the head is the enemy.
Luke was a doctor—analytical, methodical, evidence-based. He 'investigated everything carefully' before writing his Gospel. God didn't say 'stop thinking'—He used Luke's ANALYTICAL MIND to write the most detailed account of Jesus' life. Intellect was the TOOL, not the barrier.
I REFUSE the lie that my mind blocks God. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Let us REASON together, says the LORD.' My intellect is not a barrier—it's a GIFT. God engages my MIND, not just my emotions. IT IS WRITTEN: 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your MIND.' Thinking deeply IS worship. I am a BRANCH—God meets me in HOW HE MADE ME, not how others experience Him. Under the BARAK, I am blessed in my wiring—above not beneath, head not tail, knowing Him with EVERY faculty He gave me.
The Father isn't frustrated with your questions. He's running toward you saying 'I MADE you a thinker—let's explore My mysteries TOGETHER, intellect and spirit unified, no hierarchy.'
