"My accent or language differences make me sound less intelligent or credible."
How it sounds in your head: You hear yourself speak and cringe. Your parents' accent is thicker, and you're terrified of sounding like them in professional settings. People ask you to repeat yourself, and you see their faces when you mispronounce words. Your voice betrays your background.
"Then Moses said to the Lord, 'O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.' So the Lord said to him, 'Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.'"
-- Exodus 4:10-12Enemy using language as weapon to silence voice God called to speak with authority.
He's been corrected, mocked, or asked to repeat himself enough times that he's self-conscious about every word. He's watched people with 'neutral' accents get taken seriously while he fights for credibility.
Uneducated fisherman with thick Galilean accent so recognizable that a servant girl identified him by it during Jesus' trial. On Pentecost, this 'unlearned' man with a country accent preached and 3,000 ELITE Jews from every nation were saved. His accent didn't dilute the message—the Spirit AMPLIFIED it.
I REFUSE the lie that my accent disqualifies my voice. IT IS WRITTEN: God made my mouth and will be WITH my mouth teaching me what to say. My voice carries AUTHORITY because of anointing, not pronunciation. Peter's Galilean accent didn't stop Pentecost; Moses' speech impediment didn't stop Exodus. IT IS WRITTEN: God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise. My differences are DIVINE, not defective. The BARAK blessing commands favor on my words. When I speak, heaven backs it—regardless of accent. I'm not apologizing for my voice; I'm UNLEASHING it.
Your Father isn't correcting your accent—He's AMPLIFYING your voice. He's running toward you with a microphone, not a language tutor, because what you have to say matters infinitely more than how you say it.
