"Money is the root of all evil, so wanting it makes me bad"
How it sounds in your head: I see my friends with new clothes and phones and I want that too, but then I feel guilty. Like wanting nice things means I'm shallow or materialistic. Maybe wanting money means my heart is wrong.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
-- Philippians 4:19Source: Religion misquoting 1 Timothy 6:10 which says 'the LOVE of money' not money itself, twisting provision into sin.
Every time she wants something, adults quote this verse like wanting anything material is evil. She sees rich people acting badly on TV and connects wealth with corruption, so she thinks poverty must equal purity.
Abraham was 'very rich in livestock, silver and gold'—called the friend of God WHILE wealthy. When he lied twice about Sarah, he left each situation RICHER than before because the BARAK blessing wasn't based on his honesty but on covenant.
I REFUSE the lie that money is evil or that wanting provision makes me bad. IT IS WRITTEN that my God supplies all my needs according to HIS RICHES in glory. I am Abraham's seed through Christ, and the BARAK blessing is mine by covenant, not by poverty. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:13-14 that Christ redeemed me from the curse so the blessing of Abraham would come upon me. Money is a tool in my hands for Kingdom purpose. I receive supernatural provision with a pure heart because my righteousness is a GIFT, not my bank account.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to stop wanting things—He's the one who gives you the DESIRES of your heart. He's already running toward you with the robe, ring, and fattened calf, and yes, that includes resources for the life He's called you to live.
