"Money is the root of all evil, so wanting financial increase means I'm worldly and greedy."
How it sounds in your head: Every time I think about wanting more income or building wealth, I feel guilty. Like I'm supposed to be content scraping by while others prosper. Spiritual people shouldn't care about money, right?
"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
-- 1 Timothy 6:10Source: Religion - misquoted 1 Timothy 6:10,twisting 'love of money' into 'money itself' to keep believers poor and dependent.
Everyone quotes 'money is the root of all evil' like it's Scripture, and the guys I respect most seem to barely get by financially while calling it 'trusting God.' Plus, every wealthy person I see on Instagram looks shallow and materialistic.
Solomon asked for wisdom instead of riches, and God was SO PLEASED He gave him wisdom AND unprecedented wealth - more than any king before or after. God LOVED giving him both because his heart was right, proving that desiring wealth isn't evil when God is the source.
I REFUSE the lie that money is inherently evil or that wanting financial increase makes me carnal. IT IS WRITTEN: The LOVE of money is the root of evil, not money itself. Money is a tool, and God gives me POWER to get wealth. I am Abraham's seed through Christ, and the BARAK blessing of provision, increase, and overflow is mine by COVENANT, not behavior. IT IS WRITTEN: God takes PLEASURE in my prosperity because I am His son. I receive wealth without guilt, increase without shame, and overflow to bless others - not because I'm greedy, but because my Father is GENEROUS.
The Father isn't testing your spirituality by keeping you broke - He's running toward you with the RING of authority and ROBE of provision. He already gave His own Son; how will He not FREELY give you all things, including financial breakthrough?
