"Miscarriage means something is wrong with me spiritually or physically."
How it sounds in your head: We lost the baby. My girlfriend is devastated and I feel like I failed to protect our child. What if my body can't sustain life? What if God is judging us for getting pregnant before marriage?
"No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days."
-- Exodus 23:26Enemy: weaponizing grief to make you believe miscarriage is punishment or evidence of spiritual/physical defect, turning tragedy into condemnation.
People say 'everything happens for a reason' or 'maybe it wasn't meant to be,' making you search for what YOU did wrong. You feel like your body failed or God is punishing premarital sex.
Rachel was barren for YEARS, watching her sister have child after child while she had nothing - devastating comparison and grief. Then 'God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb' - she conceived Joseph IMMEDIATELY and later had Benjamin.
I REFUSE the lie that miscarriage means I am defective or judged. IT IS WRITTEN that no one shall suffer miscarriage in covenant land - I stand on promise, not tragedy. We live in a fallen world where bodies malfunction, but that doesn't rewrite covenant blessing over my seed. Rachel grieved barrenness for years, then conceived Joseph INSTANTLY when God opened her womb. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed of the Lord and my seed is blessed - one loss doesn't cancel generational promise. I am not accepting condemnation from well-meaning religious voices saying 'God is teaching you something.' Father is NOT the author of this loss. The BARAK protects my future regardless of past tragedy. I grieve the loss but I do NOT accept the lie that my reproductive future is cursed.
Father isn't punishing you with miscarriage or withholding future children because of premarital sex - He's weeping WITH you over the loss. He's the God who gave Rachel a son after years of barrenness, and He's running toward you with the promise 'You WILL hold a healthy baby.'
