"Miscarriage means I failed as a protector and provider."
How it sounds in your head: You're the husband, the protector. Something you did or didn't do caused this loss. You should have provided better healthcare, less stress, a safer environment. You failed your most basic masculine responsibility.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."
-- Romans 8:1Enemy weaponizing provider identity to assign false guilt for a fallen world's brokenness.
Men carry the weight of provision and protection as core identity. When something tragic happens under your watch, masculine shame says you should have prevented it.
David's son with Bathsheba became ill and died despite David's fasting and pleading. God didn't condemn David for the child's death - instead, He comforted David and gave him Solomon, who became the wisest, richest king and carried the Messianic line.
I REFUSE the lie that miscarriage proves I failed as protector. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NOW no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus - not some condemnation, not condemnation in tragedy, but ZERO condemnation. I live in a fallen world where death touches everything, but death doesn't define my identity or prove my failure. My Father weeps WITH me, not AT me. IT IS WRITTEN that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. I receive His comfort, not His blame, and trust Him for restoration like David received Solomon after loss.
Your Father is running toward you in this grief, not away in disappointment. He's not reviewing what you should have done differently - He's holding you like the Prodigal, absorbing your pain, preparing restoration you can't yet see.
