"Kingdom wealth means just having enough, not abundance or overflow."
How it sounds in your head: I've been taught that God wants me to have 'just enough' and that wanting more than that is worldly or greedy. Overflow and abundance sound like the world's definition of success, not God's.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
-- John 10:10Source: religion - Poverty gospel and false humility teach that barely-enough equals holiness and abundance equals compromise.
She hears 'give us this day our daily bread' interpreted as only asking for today's minimum, and prosperity looks like materialism compared to religious simplicity.
Jesus fed 5,000 men (plus women and children—likely 15,000+ people) with five loaves and two fish. Everyone ate and was FILLED, and they took up TWELVE BASKETS of leftovers—God's provision isn't just enough, it's OVERFLOW.
I REFUSE the lie that Kingdom wealth means barely-enough or that wanting abundance is worldly. IT IS WRITTEN in John 10:10 that Jesus came to give me life MORE ABUNDANTLY—not minimally. When Jesus fed the multitude, there were TWELVE BASKETS left over—God's provision is OVERFLOW, not scraping by. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28:11 - The Lord will grant me ABUNDANT PROSPERITY. Abundance isn't greed—it's my Father's nature. The BARAK blessing isn't just-enough; it's OVERFLOWING. I am blessed coming in and going out, the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. I receive and expect ABUNDANCE because that's what my Father promised.
Your Father didn't send Jesus to give you a slightly-better-than-poverty life—He came for ABUNDANT life, overflow, more than enough. Twelve baskets of leftovers weren't wasteful; they were God showing off His nature. He doesn't ration His goodness; He pours it out until you can't contain it.
