"Kingdom wealth is different from worldly wealth. You can't have both godliness and riches."
How it sounds in your head: You're told there's 'kingdom wealth' (spiritual, humble, modest) and 'worldly wealth' (flashy, greedy, corrupt), and you can't pursue both. Wanting actual money feels worldly, so you settle for 'kingdom wealth' that keeps you broke but feeling holy.
"Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share."
-- 1 Timothy 6:17-18Religious false dichotomy: creating a division Scripture never makes, as if material blessing and godliness are opposites instead of covenant partners.
Jesus said 'you cannot serve God and mammon' (Matthew 6:24), and religion twisted that into 'you can't have God AND money.' The either/or feels biblical even though it's not what the verse says.
Solomon asked for wisdom (kingdom priority). God gave him wisdom AND 'riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days.' God ADDED massive wealth to godliness as a GIFT, not as a contradiction.
I REFUSE the lie that kingdom wealth and actual riches are opposites. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives us richly ALL THINGS TO ENJOY (1 Timothy 6:17). IT IS WRITTEN that Solomon received BOTH wisdom and massive wealth as gifts from God (1 Kings 3:13). I am Abraham's seed through Christ (Galatians 3:29), heir to the BARAK that made Abraham 'very rich in livestock, silver, and gold.' Godliness WITH material blessing is my inheritance. I don't choose between them. I receive BOTH NOW as covenant promises.
The Father isn't offering you a choice between His presence or His provision, as if loving Him means rejecting what He wants to give. He's the One who gives RICHLY all things to enjoy, who loaded Solomon with wealth AS A GIFT, who celebrates the prodigal with both the embrace AND the feast.
