"I've wasted my whole life, and now it's too late to make it right."
How it sounds in your head: I look back and see so many wrong choices, so many wasted years. I wasn't the mother I should have been, the wife I should have been, the Christian I should have been. Now I'm at the end, and there's no time to redo it. I'm dying with regrets I can't fix.
"And Jesus said to him, 'Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.'"
-- Luke 23:43Enemy accusation that redemption requires time to 'prove yourself' and that past failures create permanent deficits.
The finality of age makes past failures feel irreversible, and the lack of time ahead makes redemption seem impossible. The accumulated weight of regret feels like evidence of a wasted life.
The thief had zero time to fix anything, make amends, or prove himself—just one moment of believing. Jesus didn't say 'maybe' or 'after you clean up your life.' He said TODAY you're with Me in Paradise. Instant, complete acceptance.
I REFUSE the lie that I've wasted my life and it's too late. IT IS WRITTEN that the thief on the cross was welcomed into Paradise with MINUTES to live and zero time to fix anything. My acceptance isn't based on my track record but on Jesus' FINISHED WORK. IT IS WRITTEN that I am the righteousness of God in Christ—not becoming, but AM. I stand in the BARAK blessing of Abraham, which is COVENANT-based, not performance-based. My past doesn't disqualify me; the blood QUALIFIES me. I am not too late—I am right on time for His grace.
The Father doesn't measure your life by productivity or perfection—He measures it by the cross, which declares you ENOUGH. The thief had minutes; you have this moment. Both are equally sufficient in the economy of grace because it's NEVER been about time—it's about the TIMELESS sacrifice.
