"I can never tell anyone what I did in college—it would destroy everything I've built."
How it sounds in your head: You've carefully constructed a reputation, a career, maybe even a ministry. But you know what you did back then—the cheating, the lies, maybe worse. If it ever came out, everything would collapse. You have to take this to your grave.
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."
-- Psalm 103:12Worldly system that measures worth by reputation plus religious culture that preaches grace but practices exposure and exile.
He's watched cancel culture destroy people for past mistakes. His current life feels fragile, built on people NOT knowing who he used to be.
Paul literally MURDERED Christians—held the coats while Stephen was stoned, dragged families from homes to prison. Zero rehabilitation period: Jesus appeared to him, and within DAYS he was preaching in synagogues. By verse 20 he's already PROCLAIMING Christ—no waiting, no probation, instant deployment.
I REFUSE the lie that my past disqualifies my future. IT IS WRITTEN that God has removed my transgressions as far as the east is from the west—infinite distance, unreachable, unfindable. The enemy weaponizes my memory, but God has AMNESIA about my sin. I am not who I was in college—I am a NEW CREATION, old things PASSED AWAY. IT IS WRITTEN that if anyone is in Christ, they are NEW—not renovated, not on probation, but BRAND NEW. The BARAK blessing doesn't require a clean background check; Abraham was a liar and still blessed. I stand CLEAN in the blood of Jesus.
God doesn't have a file on you marked 'college years' waiting to be opened. He THREW IT IN THE SEA. When He looks at you, He sees Jesus' righteousness, not your dorm room decisions.
