Unlovable
"I've missed my window for the kind of love I actually wanted."

How it sounds in your head: You're 35, 37, 39—and the relationship you dreamed of either didn't happen or didn't work out the way you hoped. You see younger guys getting what you wanted, and you feel like you're on the back side of opportunity. Maybe you married wrong, maybe you're still single, maybe you're divorced—but either way, the dream feels dead and you're too late.

Joel 2:25

"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."

-- Joel 2:25
Enemy whispers: 'You've missed your window for the love you wanted.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Joel 2:25—God RESTORES the years the locust has eaten. Not compensates, not gives you second-best—RESTORES. The breakthrough you need isn't limited by age, timing, or past mistakes. Abraham got his promise at 100, Moses started his calling at 80, Isaac met Rebekah in his forties. God's timeline isn't your culture's timeline.
Quick Truth: LIE: I missed my window for real love. TRUTH: God restores the years the locust ate; His timing is perfect. Joel 2:25

Source: Cultural narrative that your thirties are a closing window, or comparison to peers who seem to have what you don't.

Why this feels true:

You can see the timeline—fertility windows, age gaps, energy levels—and it feels like the math is against you. You've watched opportunities pass and convinced yourself the best version of the life you wanted is no longer available.

Genesis 24:62-67
Isaac

Isaac was 40 and still single when God orchestrated Rebekah's arrival. He didn't settle or scrape for leftovers—God brought him exactly the right woman at the exact right time. Isaac loved her deeply and she comforted him after his mother's death—perfect timing, not late timing.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that I've missed my window for the love I want. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores the years the locust has eaten—He doesn't give leftovers or second-best; He RESTORES. IT IS WRITTEN that Abraham received his promise at 100, Moses at 80, Isaac at 40—God's timing isn't limited by cultural scripts. The BARAK blessing includes the promise 'You will be above and not beneath, the head and not the tail'—which means the BEST is still available to me, not the scraps. The Father doesn't give the prodigal the old robe; He gives him THE BEST ROBE. My age doesn't disqualify me from the fullness of what I've wanted—God's promises have no expiration date.

But God actually:

The Father isn't handing you consolation prizes because you're 'older'—He's preparing the fattened calf, the best robe, the full restoration. His goodness doesn't decline with your age; His promises are YES and AMEN regardless of the calendar.
