"I've missed God's best for my life—my productive years are behind me."
How it sounds in your head: I'm retired or close to it. My career is done. Whatever impact I was going to make, I should have made it by now. Younger guys are taking over. My time has passed.
"So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran."
-- Genesis 12:4Enemy/world: Culture worships youth and productivity, making purpose tied to career performance.
The workplace doesn't want you anymore. Younger men are getting promoted past you or you've already left. Society acts like you're invisible now—no longer the decision-maker or the provider.
Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born—the promised son through whom all nations would be blessed. God's greatest promise to him came AFTER society would have put him out to pasture, proving God's purposes aren't limited by age.
I REFUSE the lie that my productive years are over. IT IS WRITTEN: Abraham was 75 when God started his call and 100 when promise arrived. IT IS WRITTEN: Moses was 80 at the burning bush. I am Abraham's seed—the BARAK blessing doesn't have an expiration date. God's calling is irrevocable. My latter days will be GREATER than my former. I am the head and not the tail, above only and NOT beneath, at EVERY age.
The Father isn't setting you on a shelf. He's been PREPARING you through every decade for THIS moment. He's running toward you with assignments that require your wisdom, scars, and the authority only years can forge.
