"I've used up all my strength—there's nothing left in my body to give."
How it sounds in your head: I'm so tired, bone-deep tired. I've given everything for ninety years and there's nothing left in the tank. My body is empty, spent, finished.
"He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:29-31World: Operates on depletion model where bodies are batteries that run down and can't be recharged.
Every movement requires enormous effort now. She feels hollow, like a well that's been pumped dry with no water source left to refill it.
Elijah was so depleted he asked God to let him die—'It is enough; now, LORD, take my life.' But God sent an angel with food, and after eating, 'he went in the strength of that one meal FORTY DAYS AND FORTY NIGHTS.' Supernatural strength replaced natural depletion INSTANTLY.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm running on empty with nothing left. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 40:29 that God gives POWER to the weak and INCREASES strength to those with no might—that's me, and that's my supply source. I don't operate on my own reserves; I'm a branch connected to the Vine, and His life flows through me continually. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:13, 'I can do ALL things through Christ who STRENGTHENS me'—present tense, continuous action. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead LIVES IN ME (Romans 8:11), and that resurrection power is renewing my strength right now. I am under the BARAK blessing of supernatural provision, and that includes strength for every moment.
The Father isn't waiting for you to muster up your last ounce of strength—He's the God who fed Elijah one supernatural meal that carried him forty days, who gave Samson back his strength in one prayer, who strengthened Jesus in Gethsemane with one angel. He's running toward you NOW with strength that doesn't come from your body but from His endless supply.
