"I've lived through so much collapse that hope for restoration is naive"
How it sounds in your head: I survived the Depression, world wars, economic crashes, and watched everything fall apart over and over. At this point, believing things will get better is just foolish optimism. The world only gets darker, and pretending otherwise is denial.
"The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, says the Lord of hosts."
-- Haggai 2:9Trauma-based lie that patterns of the past determine God's ability to do something different in the future, making experience trump His Word
She has literal decades of evidence that things cycle through crisis after crisis. Her entire life has been weathering storms, and exhaustion makes cynicism feel like wisdom.
Job lost ten children, all wealth, his health, and sat in ashes scraping boils with broken pottery, certain he would die in misery. God didn't gradually rebuild—He restored DOUBLE everything Job lost in one encounter, and Job lived 140 more years seeing four generations of blessing, with his latter days greater than his beginning.
I REFUSE the lie that history determines my future! IT IS WRITTEN that the glory of the LATTER house is GREATER than the former—God doesn't do downgrades! I've lived through collapse, but I'm living INTO restoration because that's His nature. IT IS WRITTEN in Joel 2:25 that God restores the YEARS the locust has eaten. Every war, every crash, every loss I've endured is subject to HIS redemption plan. I am not defined by cycles of trauma—I am defined by the FINISHED WORK of Jesus! My latter days are GREATER, my family's future is BLESSED, and hope is not naive—it's COVENANT CONFIDENCE!
The Father is running toward you with the declaration, 'Everything you've survived has NOT disqualified My promises—it's positioned you to see greater glory than you've ever known!' Like Job who went from ash heap to double restoration, you're not in the collapse—you're in the SETUP for the greatest demonstration of His goodness you've ever witnessed, and it's not based on world conditions; it's based on HIS unchanging nature.
