"I've faked my way through life and everyone will eventually realize I was never qualified or worthy."
How it sounds in your head: All those years of work, all those accomplishments—I just got lucky. I don't have degrees like others did. I smiled and nodded through conversations I didn't understand. Now in my seventies, I look back and feel like a fraud who somehow slipped through undetected.
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations."
-- Jeremiah 1:5Enemy whisper reinforced by competitive culture that measures worth by credentials and performance rather than covenant identity.
Decades of career insecurity taught her to attribute success to luck rather than God's favor. Now with time to reflect, the enemy replays every moment she felt unqualified, ignoring all the actual fruit produced.
Moses said 'I am not eloquent, I am slow of speech'—classic imposter syndrome. God's response wasn't 'go get training'—it was 'I will BE with your mouth and TEACH you what to say.' Instant qualification through divine presence.
I REFUSE the lie that I faked my way through life. IT IS WRITTEN that before I was born, God sanctified and ordained me. Every door that opened was HIS favor, not my manipulation. Every success was HIS blessing flowing through the branch attached to the Vine. I didn't fake anything—I carried the BARAK blessing of Abraham, protection and provision regardless of my qualifications. IT IS WRITTEN there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I am not a fraud—I am CHOSEN, ORDAINED, and QUALIFIED by the One who formed me. The Father runs toward me with the robe of righteousness, not a performance review.
The Father looks at your seventy years and sees every moment HE was working through you, opening doors by HIS favor, producing fruit because you stayed connected to the Vine. He's not waiting to expose you—He's celebrating what HIS blessing accomplished through a willing vessel.
