"I've been pouring out for so long that I'm completely empty and have nothing left."
How it sounds in your head: You've given everything—sermons, counseling sessions, crisis calls at 2 AM. The well is dry. You're faking it on Sundays, recycling old messages, going through motions. You used to feel God's presence; now there's just noise and obligation.
"On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, 'If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'"
-- John 7:37-38The enemy twisted Jesus' model of servant leadership into self-destruction, making depletion sound spiritual.
You physically feel the emptiness—dragging yourself to services, unable to pray with passion, numb to worship that used to wreck you. The more you pour out, the less comes back in, and nobody asks if you're okay.
Hagar was dying of thirst in the wilderness, water gone, waiting for death. God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water right there—it had been there all along, she just couldn't see it. Instant provision in the desert.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm empty and depleted beyond recovery. IT IS WRITTEN that out of my heart flows RIVERS of living water—not because of my effort, but because HE lives in me. I am not the source; I am the BRANCH connected to the infinite VINE. His supply never runs dry. IT IS WRITTEN that He leads me beside still waters and RESTORES my soul. I declare the BARAK blessing over my life—I am BLESSED in my coming in and going out, and His presence is my endless supply. The Father isn't waiting for me to refill myself—He IS the well that never runs dry.
The Father sees you dying of thirst and is opening your eyes to the well that's been there all along—His presence, not your performance, is the source. He's not asking you to dig deeper; He's inviting you to drink deeply from Him without earning a single drop.
