"I want to quit ministry but I'm trapped because this is all I know and support."
How it sounds in your head: You're fifty-something with a ministry resume that doesn't translate to the secular world. If you leave, how do you pay the mortgage? You're stuck in a calling you no longer love because you can't afford to escape—trapped by golden handcuffs disguised as ministry.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
-- Philippians 4:19The world taught you that provision comes from your job title instead of from covenant, making ministry feel like a prison instead of a garden.
You've looked at the numbers and there's no easy path to replicate your income outside ministry. The bills are real, retirement is closer than it used to be, and starting over at this age in a different field feels impossible.
God told Abraham to LEAVE everything he knew—his country, his family, his security—and go to a place he'd never seen with no roadmap or 401k plan. Abraham left at age SEVENTY-FIVE into total unknown, and became the wealthiest man in the region because the BARAK blessing went with him regardless of location or career.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm trapped by financial need. IT IS WRITTEN that my God supplies ALL my need according to HIS riches in glory—not according to my job, my age, or my resume. The BARAK blessing of Abraham is mine through Christ—I am BLESSED in the city and in the field, coming in and going out, in ministry or marketplace. IT IS WRITTEN He will command blessing on my storehouses, and my provision comes from COVENANT, not from career. If God leads me to transition, He supplies SUPERNATURALLY. The God who fed Israel with manna and filled Peter's net after empty nights can INSTANTLY provide whatever I need. I am NOT trapped—I'm FREE to follow His leading because He's my source.
Father isn't using financial pressure to keep you hostage—He's inviting you to trust that His supply isn't tied to your title. He supplied the widow's oil AFTER her husband (the provider) died, proving provision comes from covenant, not career.
