"I've asked so many times that God must be tired of hearing from me."
How it sounds in your head: How many times can you ask for the same thing? Healing for your body. Provision for your retirement. Salvation for your son. You sound like a broken record. Surely God is tired of your repetitive requests by now.
"And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?"
-- Luke 18:7World's relational fatigue (where people DO get tired of hearing the same thing) projected onto a Father whose mercies are new EVERY morning.
You're tired of asking—the same words feel stale in your own mouth. If YOU'RE tired of hearing yourself, God must be exhausted.
Kept coming to an unjust judge who didn't fear God or care about people, asking for justice. Her persistence wore him down and he granted her request—and Jesus said if an EVIL judge responds to persistence, how much more will your loving Father?
I REFUSE the lie that my repeated prayers annoy God. IT IS WRITTEN: His elect cry out day and night, and He avenges them speedily. Jesus told me to ALWAYS pray and not give up. The widow's persistence moved an evil judge—my Father is GOOD and loves my dependence. IT IS WRITTEN: His mercies are new every morning—every prayer is heard with fresh compassion. I am not a burden; I am His beloved son. My requests delight Him because they prove I know where my source is. I will not quit asking.
Your Father never tires of hearing your voice—He's like a daddy who never gets tired of his toddler saying 'I love you' a hundred times a day. Every time you ask, He leans in closer, delighted you're talking to Him.
