"It's too late to make things right with my family. I'll die with this brokenness."
How it sounds in your head: I can barely speak. They won't answer my calls. Years of damage can't be undone in the time I have left. I destroyed those relationships, and now I'm going to die with this guilt. Some things are just too broken to fix.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Enemy lie that restoration has a time limit and past relational damage is irreversible, denying God's reconciliation power.
He's tried to reach out and been met with silence or surface-level politeness that confirms the depth of the breach. Decades of mistakes created deep wounds, and his physical limitation makes pursuing reconciliation feel impossible. Death feels closer than restoration.
After 20+ years of estrangement following betrayal and stolen blessing, Jacob feared Esau would kill him. Instead, Esau RAN to Jacob, fell on his neck, kissed him, and they WEPT together. Instant reconciliation after decades—God orchestrated what seemed impossible.
I REFUSE the lie that it's too late for restoration. IT IS WRITTEN that God will RESTORE the years the locust has eaten—no expiration date on His redemption! With God ALL things are possible, including healing decades of brokenness. IT IS WRITTEN that He makes all things NEW, and I am a new creation—that includes relationships. Jacob and Esau reconciled after 20 years of hatred. The thief got paradise in his final hour. I am under the BARAK blessing—the covenant that protected relationship even through lies and deception. The Father is running toward restoration RIGHT NOW!
The Father who reconciled you to Himself while you were STILL a sinner can reconcile you to your family. He's already working in their hearts, preparing the moment, orchestrating the impossible—you just can't see it yet.
