"It's too late for my adult child; they've hardened their heart beyond reaching."
How it sounds in your head: Twenty years of rejecting God. Every conversation ends in argument. They've built a whole life without Him. The window closed. Pharaoh hardened his heart, and so has my kid.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Enemy's ultimate lie: there's a point of no return for the people you love—contradicting God's 'whoever will may come.'
You've watched them double down year after year, relationship after relationship, decision after decision. The further they go, the harder the return seems. Time feels like evidence against hope.
Nebuchadnezzar spent SEVEN YEARS as an insane beast eating grass, hair like eagle feathers, nails like bird claws—utterly given over to animalistic madness. At the appointed time, his reason INSTANTLY returned, and he blessed the Most High—complete restoration from total insanity to worshiping God.
I REFUSE the lie that it's too late for my child. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores the YEARS the locust has eaten—not just stops the damage but redeems the time already gone. No amount of time in the far country puts them beyond the Father's reach. IT IS WRITTEN in Luke 18:27 that what is impossible with men is POSSIBLE with God. I speak to the dry bones of my child's faith and command them to LIVE. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead will quicken their dead heart. The BARAK blessing covers my seed—they are Abraham's heirs, and God's promise to my household stands regardless of their current location.
The Father has no statute of limitations on redemption and no give-up date on your child. The prodigal could have stayed in the far country for fifty years, and the Father would still be watching the road at ninety, robe in hand.
