"Infertility is God's way of telling me I'm not meant to be a mother."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe motherhood wasn't in God's plan for me. The closed womb must mean a closed door. If God wanted me to have children, it would have happened. This delay is His answer—and the answer is no.
"He grants the barren woman a home, like a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD!"
-- Psalm 113:9Religion—teaching that circumstances reveal God's hidden will and closed doors indicate divine rejection of desires.
Years of negative pregnancy tests and failed treatments create overwhelming evidence that motherhood is not God's plan. If He wanted it, He would have done it already.
Elizabeth was barren her entire marriage, enduring decades of reproach and societal shame as a childless wife. In her old age, God opened her womb and she conceived John the Baptist—her 'disgrace' removed in one miraculous moment, her son preparing the way for Messiah.
I REFUSE the lie that barrenness means God doesn't want me to be a mother. IT IS WRITTEN that He grants the barren woman a home as a joyful mother of children—this is His DELIGHT, not His denial. Every closed womb in Scripture became an open testimony. I am walking in the blessing of Abraham where wombs are opened and descendants are multiplied. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, blessed in my body, blessed in my future. God is removing my reproach like He removed Elizabeth's.
The Father is not denying your motherhood—He's setting up a testimony that will bring Him glory and you joy beyond measure. He's running toward you with Elizabeth's story, whispering that your years of waiting are pregnant with purpose, that barrenness is His favorite miracle to demolish.
