"I'm too young—I have to wait until I'm older for God to use me"
How it sounds in your head: Everyone says I'm just a kid. I can't do anything important for God until I'm grown up. The adults make all the decisions and I just have to sit and wait my turn.
"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
-- 1 Timothy 4:12Source: religion—age-based hierarchy that Jesus never established, creating a waiting room mentality
Every adult tells him to wait, be patient, and he'll understand when he's older. He sees only grown-ups leading and speaking while kids are told to be quiet and listen.
Josiah became king at age 8 and at age 16 began seeking God, leading the greatest revival in Judah's history. He didn't wait until he was 'ready'—God used him immediately, tearing down idols and restoring worship while still a teenager.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too young to be used by God. IT IS WRITTEN that God looks at the heart, not the age, and He anointed David as a boy, used Samuel as a child, and made Josiah king at 8 years old. I am Abraham's seed, an heir according to the PROMISE, and the BARAK blessing rests on me NOW, not someday. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to Me,' and He never said 'wait until you're older.' I declare I am anointed, appointed, and equipped TODAY. My youth is my strength—I believe God without religious doubt clouding my faith.
The Father is not waiting for you to grow up—He's celebrating that your faith is PURE, uncontaminated by years of religious performance. He's running toward you NOW with assignments that will blow your mind, because He loves using the 'foolish things' to confound the wise.
