"I'm too young and God is punishing my body for wanting a baby"
How it sounds in your head: You're 17 and pregnant wasn't the plan, but now you desperately want to keep this baby and you're terrified. Or you're trying to conceive young and everyone says you're too immature. You feel judged by God and people, like your age disqualifies you from His blessing.
"Then the angel said to her, 'Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.'"
-- Luke 1:30-31Religion teaching that God punishes 'out of order' reproduction or won't bless young mothers
Society and church both send clear messages that young pregnancy is shameful or irresponsible. You feel the judgment and assume God agrees—that He's withholding blessing or protection because of your age or circumstances.
Mary was approximately 14-16 years old, unmarried, and facing social disgrace when God chose her to carry Jesus. The angel's first words were 'you have found FAVOR'—not punishment, not shame, but divine favor on a young, out-of-wedlock pregnancy that became the most blessed womb in history.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too young for God's blessing or that He's punishing my body. IT IS WRITTEN that Mary was a teenager, unmarried, and pregnant when the angel declared she had FOUND FAVOR with God. My age doesn't disqualify me from covenant promises. IT IS WRITTEN: Let no one despise my youth. God doesn't withhold blessing because of birthdays. I am blessed with the blessing of Abraham regardless of my age or circumstances. My womb is blessed, my baby is blessed, and I have found favor with God because I'm IN Christ, not because I'm the right age.
The Father didn't wait until Mary turned 25 with a stable career. He chose a teenager, announced FAVOR, and protected her through social shame—because His blessing has never been about qualifying; it's about covenant.
