"I'm too weak and powerless to have any spiritual authority at my age."
How it sounds in your head: I'm just a frail old woman lying in this bed. How could I possibly have authority over anything spiritual? I can't even get up without help. The enemy is stronger than me, and I'm too tired to fight.
"Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."
-- Colossians 2:15Source: enemy/trauma - Ageism and physical weakness equated with spiritual impotence, deceiving her into thinking dependency on others means dependency status with God.
Her physical body is failing, requiring complete care from others, making her feel powerless in every realm. She's spent decades seeing authority as male or youthful, never understanding that spiritual authority comes from POSITION in Christ, not physical strength or age.
She had been bleeding and weak for 12 years, had spent all her money, was ceremonially unclean and untouchable. The moment she touched Jesus' garment, power flowed and she was IMMEDIATELY healed—her physical weakness didn't limit His power one second.
I REFUSE the lie that my physical weakness equals spiritual powerlessness. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus has ALREADY disarmed every principality and power, making a public spectacle of them. I don't generate authority from my strength—I STAND in Christ's finished victory. IT IS WRITTEN that I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, FAR ABOVE all demonic forces. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives IN ME. I am a DANGEROUS WEAPON in God's hands, and the enemy trembles at the NAME I carry—JESUS. I walk in the BARAK blessing of Abraham—protected, defended, and victorious by COVENANT, not by my ability to stand.
The Father sees you in that bed and says, 'That's My warrior queen, still wielding My Name with devastating effect on darkness.' He's not waiting for you to get stronger—He's celebrating that HIS strength is made PERFECT in your weakness, and every demon knows you carry the authority of the Son.
