"I'm too old to start anything new so I'll just survive until Jesus returns"
How it sounds in your head: That dream I had decades ago? Too late now. New businesses, ministries, adventures—those are for young people. I'll just maintain what I have and wait for heaven. My season of building is over.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust."
-- Joel 2:25Cultural lie that women over 60 are past usefulness, combined with religious 'just hold on' mentality.
Her body doesn't move like it used to, friends are dying, and culture screams youth is where value lives. The energy required to start feels impossible when she's managing grandkids and aging parents.
At 75 years old—retirement age—God called Abraham to LEAVE everything and start a completely new adventure that would birth nations. He didn't say 'too late'—he WENT, and became father of faith at an age when culture says you're done.
I REFUSE the lie that my age disqualifies my assignments. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores the years the locust ate and that I will bear fruit in OLD AGE. I am not in survival mode—I am in the FLOURISHING years. The BARAK blessing doesn't expire at 65; it COMPOUNDS. Abraham started his greatest adventure at 75. IT IS WRITTEN that my latter glory will be GREATER than my former. I am a branch in Christ, and sap flows to me AUTOMATICALLY regardless of age. New businesses, new ministries, new adventures—all AVAILABLE because I am IN HIM.
The Father isn't putting you out to pasture—He's handing you the KEYS to the barns you're about to fill. While culture screams you're past prime, He's running toward you with scrolls of assignments that require your EXACT years of wisdom and the freedom you now have.
