"I'm too old for God to use me now—I missed my window of purpose."
How it sounds in your head: You see younger people stepping into ministry, starting businesses, making an impact. You think, 'That was supposed to be me, but I waited too long.' You feel like you're in life's waiting room now, just marking time until death. God's moved on to the next generation.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust."
-- Joel 2:25Religion's lie that God has timelines and age limits—the enemy stealing present purpose by making you focus on lost past.
She's watched others step into dreams she once had. Her physical limitations make 'big' things feel impossible. The culture worships youth and innovation, making her feel obsolete and past her expiration date.
Moses was 80 years old—elderly even by ancient standards—when God called him to his GREATEST work: delivering an entire nation. His most significant purpose began at an age when most would be retiring.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too old for God to use me. IT IS WRITTEN that God will RESTORE the years the locusts have eaten—He doesn't write people off at arbitrary ages. Moses was 80 when God gave him his greatest assignment. Anna was 84 when she prophesied over the Messiah. Caleb was 85 and said 'Give me THIS mountain!' IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 92:14 that I will bear fruit in OLD AGE, and I will be fresh and flourishing. My age is not a limitation to God but a PLATFORM for His glory. I declare that my latter days are MORE glorious than my former, and God is doing something NEW right now in my life.
The Father isn't putting you out to pasture—He's been PREPARING you through decades of experience for THIS moment. Like wine that gets better with age, your wisdom, prayers, and presence carry a WEIGHT that youth cannot replicate.
