THE LIE Friendship Failure

"I'm too old and tired to invest in new friendships now."

How it sounds in your head: Building friendships takes energy I don't have anymore. You have to be interesting, keep up with activities, remember names and details. I'm exhausted just managing my medications and appointments. New friendships feel like homework I can't complete.

IT IS WRITTEN Psalm 92:14

Enemy whispers: You're too depleted for new relationships; friendship requires energy you don't possess. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Psalm 92:14—They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be FRESH and FLOURISHING. Fresh. Flourishing. In OLD AGE. This is covenant promise, not performance requirement. The VINE produces the fruit; you just stay connected. Friendship isn't your work—it's HIS fruit manifesting through you. He brings the people, supplies the energy, and makes you FRESH when you're weary.

Why this feels true:

Every social gathering leaves her drained for days. She forgets names immediately, can't hear well in group settings, and feels like she's forcing cheerfulness when she's really just tired. Starting over with someone new feels impossible when naps are non-negotiable.

I REFUSE the lie that I'm too tired for what God is bringing. IT IS WRITTEN that I shall still bear fruit in old age—FRESH and FLOURISHING. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and His strength is made perfect in my weakness. The BARAK blessing includes RENEWED strength and divine appointments that energize rather than drain. IT IS WRITTEN that He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. I receive friendships that REFRESH me because they flow from the Vine, not from my effort.
