"I can't keep up with modern communication; I'm losing friendships to technology."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone texts now, sends photos on their phones, uses Facebook and video calls. I barely manage email and the phone feels intrusive. I'm being left behind because I can't navigate their world, and friendships are dying from my technological incompetence.
"For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
-- 1 Samuel 16:7World system equating relationship capacity with technological fluency, making connection conditional on platform mastery.
Grandchildren send her texts she doesn't see for days. Friends share photos in group chats she doesn't know how to access. Invitations come through Facebook she doesn't check. She's missing gatherings, messages, and connection points because the tools defeat her.
Completely CUT OFF from all believers, exiled on an island with no communication technology, no mail, no visits—yet received the most significant revelation in church history. His isolation became the SETTING for intimacy with Jesus that blessed billions. Connection isn't about tools.
I REFUSE the lie that technology determines my relational capacity. IT IS WRITTEN that God looks at the HEART, not outward methods—my connection isn't measured by platforms I can master but by the PRESENCE I carry. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and His Spirit in me creates bonds that transcend every tool or technique. The BARAK blessing brings me friendships that honor MY ways of connecting. IT IS WRITTEN that God sets the solitary in families—He's connecting me HEART to heart, His way, regardless of phones or apps.
The Father isn't requiring you to master tools that frustrate you—He's bringing you people who'd rather sit face-to-face with you, hear your actual voice, receive a handwritten note, connect the OLD ways that actually build DEPTH. He's orchestrating friendships where your technological limits become IRRELEVANT because the connection is REAL, and He's teaching a screen-addicted generation what true presence looks like through YOU.
