"I'm too mentally broken to be used by God"
How it sounds in your head: God uses strong people who have it together. I can barely manage my own thoughts—how could I serve anyone else? My mental health disqualifies me from ministry, leadership, or making any real impact. I'm a liability, not an asset.
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us."
-- 2 Corinthians 4:7Religious teaching that equates platform with perfection, making brokenness a disqualification instead of a qualification.
She sees leaders who seem flawless and has been told to 'get healthy first' before serving. Her struggle feels like a permanent bench from God's team.
Moses had a speech impediment and argued with God that he was unqualified to lead. God didn't fix the stutter—He used him anyway, saying 'I will be with your mouth.' Brokenness didn't disqualify him.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too broken to be used. IT IS WRITTEN that God puts His treasure in earthen vessels so the power is clearly HIS, not mine. My mental health struggle is not a disqualification—it's a DISPLAY of His strength. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed in the city and blessed in the field, blessed in weakness and blessed in service under the BARAK covenant. God uses cracked pots on purpose. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, broken and POWERFUL.
The Father isn't waiting for you to become unbroken before He uses you. He's already positioning your mess as your message, your struggle as someone else's hope.
