"I'm too damaged from my past to ever be fully loved by someone."
How it sounds in your head: The abuse broke something in you that can't be fixed. Normal guys don't carry this weight. Any girl who knew what happened would see you as damaged goods, a project, a charity case—not a man.
"Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs."
-- Isaiah 61:7Enemy exploiting trauma wounds, whispering that abuse made you permanently defective and unworthy of whole love.
The trauma is real and the pain is daily. You feel marked, like damaged merchandise with a clearance sticker nobody wants to buy.
Mephibosheth was crippled, hiding in a wasteland, convinced he was worthless 'dead dog.' King David SEARCHED for him, restored ALL his grandfather's land, and seated him at the king's table PERMANENTLY—not as charity, but as FAMILY. One day, worthless. Next day, royalty.
I REFUSE the lie that my trauma makes me unlovable. IT IS WRITTEN that instead of my shame I receive DOUBLE HONOR—God doesn't reduce my value because of what was done to me. I am seated at the King's table, not as charity but as a SON. My past does NOT define my worth; Christ's blood does. IT IS WRITTEN that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and no abuse can erase the image of God stamped on me. I receive the BARAK blessing: I am blessed in the city and the field, the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. I am FULLY loved, FULLY restored, FULLY qualified by the finished work of Jesus.
The Father didn't wait for your trauma to heal before loving you—He loved you THROUGH it, IN it, and now He's turning your deepest pain into your greatest glory. He's giving you DOUBLE for your trouble, right now.
