"I'm too awkward and intense. People tolerate me but don't actually want me around."
How it sounds in your head: You watch them light up for others but just be polite to you. They don't text first. They make plans without you. You're the backup friend, the last resort. Something about you is just... off.
"God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land."
-- Psalm 68:6Enemy assignment to isolate you from covenant community and make you believe you're defective.
You've been left on read, watched friend groups form without you, seen the group chat you weren't added to. The pattern feels undeniable. Every social interaction feels like you're performing and failing.
Elijah believed he was the only one left, completely alone, ready to die from isolation. God INSTANTLY revealed 7,000 others He'd preserved who hadn't bowed to Baal—a whole hidden community Elijah couldn't see but God had already prepared.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too awkward for genuine friendship. IT IS WRITTEN that God sets the solitary in families, and I am NOT forgotten. My Father is not waiting for me to be less intense, less weird, or more palatable. He's orchestrating DIVINE CONNECTIONS right now. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 68:6 that He brings the bound into prosperity—that includes relational prosperity. I am Abraham's seed, heir to the BARAK blessing that includes covenant community. I receive my people NOW, in Jesus' name.
The Father isn't fixing your personality—He's running toward you with the EXACT friends who will love the real you, not the performed version. Like the prodigal, you don't have to earn belonging; the party is already planned, and YOUR people are already looking for you too.
