"I'm tolerated, not treasured. People put up with me out of obligation, not desire."
How it sounds in your head: Your husband stays because he's supposed to. Your kids call because it's expected. Your friends include you out of politeness. No one actually WANTS you—they're just being nice or fulfilling duty.
"The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
-- Zephaniah 3:17Enemy lie designed to make you feel like a burden instead of a blessing.
People ARE busy. They DON'T always initiate. It's easy to interpret silence or distraction as reluctance instead of what it is—life.
Esther was an orphaned Jewish girl in exile, taken into a harem with hundreds of women. The king LOVED Esther more than ALL the women, set the royal crown on her head, and made her queen. She wasn't tolerated—she was CHOSEN and TREASURED.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm tolerated instead of treasured. IT IS WRITTEN that God REJOICES over me with SINGING—I am His delight, not His duty. He doesn't endure me; He enjoys me. IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 1:4 that I was CHOSEN before the foundation of the world—wanted, pursued, treasured. The BARAK blessing makes me a JOY, not a burden—I am blessed, celebrated, cherished. I receive His delight NOW.
Your Father doesn't have you on His calendar out of obligation. You are His FAVORITE part of the day. He's not counting minutes until He can move on—He's savoring every moment with you. You are the daughter He runs toward, not the one He tolerates.
