"I'm the only one who feels this insecure—everyone else has confidence figured out."
How it sounds in your head: They all walk into the room like they belong. They talk without stuttering, post without overthinking, exist without constant fear of judgment. I'm the only one faking it, the only one who feels this small inside.
"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
-- 1 Corinthians 10:13Enemy + isolation tactic—making you believe your struggle is unique so you stay silent, ashamed, and alone instead of reaching for help.
Everyone performs confidence publicly while battling insecurity privately. You see their outsides and feel your insides. They hide their fear as carefully as you hide yours, creating the illusion that you're the only one struggling.
Elijah thought he was the ONLY faithful one left, isolated and alone in his struggle. God revealed there were 7,000 others who hadn't bowed to Baal—Elijah wasn't alone, just blinded by the lie that he was the only one fighting.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm the only one struggling with insecurity. IT IS WRITTEN that my struggles are COMMON—not unique, not proof of defect, but normal human experience. The enemy isolates me with the lie that everyone else has it together. They don't. They're performing confidence while battling the same fears I face. IT IS WRITTEN that I am more than a conqueror through Christ—not because I feel confident, but because HIS confidence is IN me. I don't have to figure it out alone. I am part of a body, connected to others fighting the same fight. The BARAK blessing makes me the head and not the tail, even when I feel small.
Father sees you feeling alone in the struggle, and He's whispering, 'Look around—they're all faking it too.' He's not waiting for you to find confidence; He's offering you HIS, freely, right now, insecurity and all.
