"I'm the friend everyone takes from but no one gives back to; I always end up drained."
How it sounds in your head: You're the one who listens for hours but never gets asked how you're doing. You show up for everyone's crises, but when you need support, suddenly people are busy. You feel like an emotional ATM—constant withdrawals, zero deposits. You're exhausted from one-sided relationships.
"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."
-- Galatians 6:2World: Cultural messaging that women's value is in caregiving and that needing support is weakness.
You have receipts—dozens of times you've been there for others with no reciprocity. You've learned to stop sharing your needs because people change the subject or offer shallow advice. You attract takers because you're a giver, and the imbalance is killing you.
Elijah was completely depleted, suicidal, done with ministry, collapsed under a tree ready to die. God didn't lecture him about his attitude—He sent an angel with food, let him sleep, fed him again, and supernaturally sustained him for forty days from that one meal.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm only valuable when I'm giving and that I don't deserve to receive. IT IS WRITTEN that we bear ONE ANOTHER'S burdens—mutual, reciprocal, shared. I am a daughter, not a doormat; the righteousness of God in Christ, not a resource to be depleted. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord commands the blessing on my storehouses—He FILLS me supernaturally so I don't run dry. The BARAK blessing means I am BLESSED and a BLESSING, but the blessing flows TO me first. God is removing every taker from my life and bringing women who will POUR INTO me with the same energy I've poured out. I receive mutual, life-giving, reciprocal friendships RIGHT NOW.
The Father sees every time you've been taken from and not refilled, and He's LIVID about it. He's not asking you to try harder to find balance—He's removing every vampire relationship and surrounding you with women who will guard your heart as fiercely as you've guarded theirs.
