How it sounds in your head: I feel heavy, attacked, plagued by thoughts and darkness. Maybe there's a demon I need cast out. Maybe I need someone with authority to deliver me because I can't get free myself.

The heaviness and intrusive thoughts feel external and malevolent. Teaching about demons needing to be 'cast out' makes him feel like a passive victim needing rescue.
A man possessed by LEGION of demons—naked, cutting himself, breaking chains, living in tombs. Jesus spoke ONE COMMAND and the man went from demon-possessed to 'sitting and clothed and in his right mind' INSTANTLY. No deliverance process, no follow-up sessions.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm oppressed by demons needing deliverance ministry. IT IS WRITTEN: I AM of God and HAVE overcome them, because He who is in me is GREATER than he who is in the world. I am not oppressed—I am POSSESSED by the Holy Spirit. IT IS WRITTEN: God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I don't need delivered—I AM delivered. I have authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over ALL the power of the enemy. I enforce HIS defeat, I don't beg for MY deliverance.
Your Father sees you waiting for someone to rescue you when He's already made you the rescuer. He's running toward you saying, 'Son, you're not the demoniac—you're the one with MY authority. Use it.'
