"I'm not interesting enough to be the kind of guy other men want to be around"
How it sounds in your head: You don't have the stories, the hobbies, the charisma that draws people. You're background noise while other guys command the room. You're fine, but fine isn't friendship material. You're forgettable.
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen."
-- 1 Corinthians 1:27-28World: Cultural definition of masculine value based on performance and personality
You don't hunt, don't golf, don't have wild stories from your past. You're quieter, more ordinary. When you talk, people's eyes glaze over. You watch charismatic guys collect friends effortlessly while you work three times as hard for half the connection.
Amos was a fig farmer and shepherd—zero credentials, totally ordinary, no charisma training. God INSTANTLY made him a prophet to kings and nations, his 'boring' background became his AUTHORITY, spoke truth that still echoes 2,800 years later.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too ordinary for friendship. IT IS WRITTEN that God chooses the foolish and weak things to shame the mighty—my 'ordinary' is His CANVAS. I don't need impressive stories—I carry the HOLY SPIRIT. IT IS WRITTEN in Colossians 1:27 - 'Christ IN you, the hope of glory.' What's in me is infinitely more interesting than any external credential. The BARAK blessing makes me the head, not the tail. I don't EARN attention—I CARRY the attention of Heaven. Men are drawn not to my performance but to His PRESENCE.
The Father isn't looking for interesting—He's looking for AVAILABLE, and you're exactly that—He's positioning men around you who are TIRED of charisma and HUNGRY for authenticity, and you're about to discover your 'ordinary' is their OASIS.
