"I'm not a leader or confident enough. Girls want a strong man, and I don't know if I'll ever be that."
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9World system defining masculinity by external performance instead of identity in Christ and fruit of abiding.
You hear messages about being a leader, provider, protector. You don't feel like any of those. You feel weak, unsure, and incapable of being the 'strong man' girls supposedly want.
Gideon called himself the WEAKEST in his family, from the weakest clan. He was hiding in a winepress, terrified. God called him 'mighty warrior' while he was trembling. God doesn't wait for you to feel strong. He calls you strong while you're still scared, and then MAKES it true.
I REFUSE the lie that I must be strong in myself. IT IS WRITTEN: His strength is made PERFECT in my weakness. I am a BRANCH connected to the VINE. I don't produce strength—I ABIDE, and His strength flows through me. IT IS WRITTEN: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. The BARAK that made trembling Gideon a mighty warrior is ON ME. I am not disqualified by weakness. I am POSITIONED for God's power. I receive His strength NOW.
Your Father doesn't look at your insecurity and sigh. He looks at your DEPENDENCE and smiles. He's not waiting for you to become self-sufficient. He's running toward you saying: 'Stay weak. Stay connected. Let MY strength be yours. That's the whole point.'
