"I'm just waiting to die with nothing left to offer or experience."
How it sounds in your head: Every good thing is behind you. The adventures are over, the contributions are done, the best days are decades past. You're not living—you're just existing until your body finally stops. A slow fade to black with nothing new, nothing meaningful, nothing worth waking up for.
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
-- Philippians 1:6World system's lie that life value equals productivity—that when output stops, purpose stops.
He can't do the things he used to do. The bucket list items require strength he doesn't have. Every day feels like a repeat of yesterday with less energy.
Waited his ENTIRE LIFE for one moment—to see the Messiah before he died. God kept him alive specifically for that one encounter. At the end of his years, he held baby Jesus and said 'NOW I can die in peace'—his greatest moment came at his oldest age.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm just waiting to die with nothing left. IT IS WRITTEN: 'He who began a good work in me will COMPLETE it until the day of Jesus Christ'—and I'm not there yet, so He's NOT DONE. The BARAK blessing doesn't fade with age—Abraham received Isaac at 100, Sarah laughed at 90 and gave birth. IT IS WRITTEN: 'No eye has seen what God has prepared for those who love Him'—He's still got PURPOSE, still got ENCOUNTERS, still got COMPLETION ahead. Like Simeon who lived his whole life for ONE moment and got it at the END—my greatest moment might be my NEXT moment. I am not fading—I am COMPLETING.
The Father isn't keeping you alive out of forgetfulness—every breath is ASSIGNED with intention. He's like a master craftsman who doesn't walk away from his masterpiece before the final brushstroke. You're not leftovers from a finished feast—you're the DESSERT He's been saving, the completion that makes everything before it make sense.
