"I'm invisible now—society discards women once they're old and no longer beautiful."
How it sounds in your head: Nobody looks at me anymore. I'm not asked my opinion. Waiters ignore me. Doctors talk to my daughter instead of me. The world decided I don't matter once my hair went gray and my body aged.
"But the LORD said to Samuel, 'Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.'"
-- 1 Samuel 16:7World system lie that female value equals youth and physical beauty, completely opposite Kingdom economics.
Cultural obsession with youth creates actual social invisibility for elderly women. Being overlooked in public spaces, interrupted in conversations, or having decisions made around you rather than with you.
Sarah was 90 years old, long past cultural definitions of beauty or relevance, when God declared 'I will bless her and give you a son by her; I will bless her and she shall be a mother of nations; kings shall come from her.' Her GREATEST blessing came in her nineties.
I REFUSE the lie that I am invisible! IT IS WRITTEN that the LORD does not see as man sees—His eyes are on my heart, not my wrinkles. I am MORE valuable now with decades of wisdom than I ever was in youth. IT IS WRITTEN that gray hair is a crown of glory—what the world discards, God CROWNS. I am a daughter of Sarah, covered by the BARAK blessing that declares I am blessed above only and not beneath. The King of Glory sees me, delights in me, and calls me BEAUTIFUL!
The Father who calls stars by name hasn't forgotten yours. Every line on your face tells a story He treasures. While the world chases fading youth, He's crowning you with the glory of years well-lived, wisdom hard-won, and beauty that never fades.
