"I'm fundamentally unknowable because I don't even understand myself anymore after all these changes."

How it sounds in your head: Menopause changed my brain chemistry. Retirement changed my identity. Loss changed my perspective. I used to know who I was, but at this stage, I feel like a stranger to myself. How can anyone else know me when I don't recognize my own reflection—emotionally, mentally, physically? I'm too much of a moving target.

Hebrews 13:8

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

-- Hebrews 13:8
Enemy whispers: You're too changed to be known. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Hebrews 13:8 - 'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.' While everything around you shifts, your IDENTITY in Him is unchanging. You are not the sum of your hormones, your roles, or your reflections—you are His BELOVED, and that title doesn't fluctuate with transitions. He knows you FULLY, even when you feel unknown to yourself.
Quick Truth: LIE: Too changed to be known. TRUTH: Jesus same yesterday, today, forever—identity anchored in Him. Hebrews 13:8

Enemy exploiting legitimate hormonal and life transitions to whisper that change equals loss of identity, making transformation feel like erasure rather than evolution.

Why this feels true:

The biological and circumstantial changes are medically and experientially REAL—not spiritual fiction but documented shifts in brain chemistry, body, roles, and life structure. She genuinely feels disoriented by the person she's becoming.

Genesis 32:28
Jacob to Israel

After wrestling with God all night, Jacob—the deceiver, the manipulator—was given a NEW NAME and new identity: Israel. Everything about his past, his reputation, his understanding of himself was TRANSFORMED in one encounter, yet God knew him fully through every iteration and called forth his TRUE identity.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my transitions have made me unknowable. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever—and in Him, my core identity is UNCHANGING regardless of hormones, roles, or reflections. I am NOT the sum of my changes but the daughter of an unchanging Father. Every shift in my body, brain, and circumstances is happening TO a woman who is fully known and fully loved. IT IS WRITTEN that I am hidden with Christ in God, which means my TRUE self is secure even when I feel disoriented. Right now, I receive His clarity about who I am—not who I was or who I'm becoming, but who I've ALWAYS been in Him.

But God actually:

The Father isn't confused by your transitions—He's running toward you with the truth that while everything external shifts, your identity as His beloved daughter is anchored in HIS unchanging nature, not your changing circumstances. Like Jacob becoming Israel, He's calling forth your TRUE name through every transformation, and you're more KNOWN in this season than ever before.
