"I'm fat and that makes me worthless and unlovable."

How it sounds in your head: The scale went up. I'm disgusting. No one will love me like this. I hate my body. I can't even look in the mirror. Being fat is the worst thing I could be.

Romans 8:38-39

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

-- Romans 8:38-39
Enemy whispers: Being fat makes you worthless and unlovable. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Romans 8:38-39 - 'Neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor ANY OTHER CREATED THING, shall be able to separate us from the love of God.' Your body size is a CREATED THING. It has NO POWER to separate you from love. ZERO. IT IS WRITTEN in Jeremiah 31:3, 'I have loved you with an everlasting love.' Everlasting means it doesn't change with the scale.
Quick Truth: LIE: Fat means worthless. TRUTH: NOTHING can separate you from God's love. (Rom 8:38-39)

Fatphobia as a religious system of the world, given demonic power through agreement and shame.

Why this feels true:

Culture screams it constantly - fat is the villain in every story, the before picture, the cautionary tale. Fatness is treated as moral failure everywhere she looks.

Luke 19:1-10
Zacchaeus

Short (physical characteristic he couldn't change), hated tax collector (moral failure he COULD change), climbing a tree in desperation. Jesus didn't say 'lose weight and we'll talk' - He said 'I'm coming to YOUR HOUSE today' and brought salvation IMMEDIATELY.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my body size determines my worth. IT IS WRITTEN that NOTHING - not height, not depth, not ANY created thing - can separate me from God's love. My body is a created thing. The number on the scale is a created thing. They have NO POWER over my identity. IT IS WRITTEN that He has loved me with an everlasting love - a love that doesn't fluctuate with my weight. I am not my body. I am a beloved daughter of the King, hidden in Christ, seated in heavenly places. The barak blessing is on me - I am the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, and NO SCALE changes that.

But God actually:

Right now, your Father is lifting your chin and saying, 'Look at Me, not the mirror. You are not what the world says you are. You are who I say you are - BELOVED, WORTHY, MINE. And I'm not waiting for you to shrink to say it.'
