"I'm dying alone and forgotten; my life didn't matter to God or anyone"
How it sounds in your head: So many have already died. My friends are gone. Family doesn't visit much. I'll die alone in this room and be forgotten in a week. Did my life even matter? Did God notice me at all?
"Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me."
-- Isaiah 49:15-16Enemy's lie that your value equals visibility and human recognition.
Loneliness in her final days feels like evidence of insignificance. Few visitors seems like proof no one cares, including God.
A slave girl, pregnant, alone in the desert, abandoned by everyone, convinced she would die forgotten. God found her, spoke to her, and she named Him 'The God Who Sees Me'—because even when people forgot, HE SAW. She mattered to Him when she mattered to no one else.
I REFUSE the lie that I am forgotten! IT IS WRITTEN that I am inscribed on the palms of God's hands—PERMANENT, SEEN, REMEMBERED. Like Hagar alone in the desert, I am seen by El Roi, the God Who Sees! My significance is not measured by visitors or recognition. IT IS WRITTEN that I am the apple of His eye, hidden in the shadow of His hand. Every breath I take matters to Him. I am not alone—the King of Glory is IN THIS ROOM with me!
The Father isn't distant watching your decline—He's like He was with Hagar, finding you in your loneliest moment and saying 'I SEE you.' Your room isn't empty; it's filled with His presence. Human absence doesn't equal divine abandonment. You're inscribed on His hands, which means every time He looks at His own hands, He sees YOUR NAME.
