"I'm drained because I give too much to everyone and nothing is left for me."
How it sounds in your head: You're the friend everyone calls. The daughter who shows up. The one who helps, listens, carries emotional weight. No one is there for you the same way. You're empty because you pour out and no one refills you.
"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
-- John 7:38Source: world/religion teaching that you're a RESERVOIR that depletes, rather than a RIVER connected to an infinite source.
The relational ledger feels unbalanced—you give 80%, others give 20%. The exhaustion feels like proof you're running on fumes because no human is reciprocating your output.
She had one meal's worth of oil and flour left, was preparing to eat and die. Elijah asked her to give from her LACK. She poured out what little she had, and the oil and flour NEVER RAN OUT—she, her son, and Elijah ate for YEARS from supernatural supply that defied depletion.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm a reservoir that people deplete. IT IS WRITTEN that out of me flow RIVERS of living water—not trickles, not buckets, RIVERS. Rivers are connected to sources and cannot run dry. The widow poured out from her lack and NEVER ran out because God was her supply. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:19 that God supplies ALL my need according to His riches in glory—that includes emotional, physical, and relational energy. I am under the BARAK blessing where the Lord commands blessing on my storehouses—my internal capacity is SUPERNATURAL. I am a river, not a reservoir. I receive infinite refilling right now.
The Father sees you collapsing under the weight of everyone's needs, feeling like an empty well. He's not asking you to set better boundaries—He's running toward you saying 'You're not a reservoir I'm asking you to ration. You're a RIVER I'm filling endlessly. Pour out freely—I am your inexhaustible source.'
