"I'm betraying my culture if I don't live exactly how my parents/grandparents expect"
How it sounds in your head: You're too Americanized. You've lost your roots. You're abandoning your heritage, disrespecting your elders, choosing individualism over family. I can honor my roots without being bound by every expectation. IT IS WRITTEN: We must obey God rather than men, and 'If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.' I respect my heritage, celebrate my culture, AND follow Jesus into the life He's called me to. The BARAK blessing on my life blesses my family—even when they don't understand my path yet.
The Father is running toward you not asking why you're not identical to your parents but celebrating the unique expression of His image in you. The robe He's bringing honors your heritage while releasing your destiny—you don't have to choose.
