"I never belonged anywhere because I was caught between two cultures my whole life."
How it sounds in your head: Too ethnic for the white world, too Americanized for my own people. I've spent eighty years not fitting anywhere. Now I'm dying still not knowing where I belong. Too late to find my place.
"Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God."
-- Ephesians 2:19Enemy whispering 'orphan' over someone who was CHOSEN before foundation of world.
The cultural limbo was real and painful for decades. Neither community fully accepted him, creating legitimate identity confusion and isolation.
Rahab was a Canaanite prostitute—wrong race, wrong profession, wrong everything. One act of faith IMMEDIATELY transferred her from Jericho's destruction to Israel's protection, and she ended up in CHRIST'S GENEALOGY, fully belonging to a people that wasn't hers by birth.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm caught between cultures with no true home. IT IS WRITTEN: I am no longer a stranger or foreigner but a CITIZEN with the saints. My belonging isn't based on fitting cultural boxes—it's based on being IN CHRIST. The household of God is my family. IT IS WRITTEN: I am seated in heavenly places, far above every ethnic confusion. I don't need earth's acceptance when I have Heaven's adoption. I BELONG to the Kingdom that never rejects its own.
The Father doesn't see you as culturally confused. He sees you as CHOSEN, pulled from every tribe and tongue to sit at ONE TABLE where the only language is LOVED and the only identity is SON.
