"I'm about to face God, and He'll judge me differently because of where I came from and what I endured."
How it sounds in your head: You've wondered your whole life if God had favorites, if people from 'better' backgrounds had an easier path to Him. Now that you're dying, the fear is acute—what if Heaven has the same hierarchies earth did? What if your prayers were heard differently, your faith measured by a different standard because of your race or class?
"Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all."
-- Colossians 3:11Religious lie importing earthly prejudice into God's throne room, making the cross insufficient to level all ground at Calvary.
Ninety years of experiencing earthly prejudice makes it almost impossible to believe Heaven operates differently. If churches had hierarchies, why wouldn't Heaven?
The thief was a criminal, likely poor, definitely dying in shame alongside Jesus. No time for good works, no religious credentials, no respectable background. Jesus said 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise'—INSTANT, FULL acceptance with zero qualifications except faith.
I REFUSE the lie that Heaven has earthly hierarchies. IT IS WRITTEN that in Christ there is no Greek or Jew, slave or free, barbarian or Scythian—the cross ERASED every human distinction. When I stand before God, He sees the righteousness of JESUS, not my background. There is NO CONDEMNATION for me in Christ Jesus—not less condemnation, but NONE. IT IS WRITTEN that the same Lord is Lord of ALL and richly blesses all who call on Him. I will be welcomed with the same 'Well done' as everyone else clothed in Jesus' blood. My acceptance is based on HIS performance, not mine or my ancestors'.
The Father is preparing the same mansion for you as for everyone else in Christ—no economy class in Heaven. When you arrive, He won't check your background; He'll check for the BLOOD. And finding it, He'll throw the same extravagant party He throws for every prodigal, every thief, every sinner saved by grace.
