"I'm a ghost in my own life—present but not participating."
How it sounds in your head: I sit in the room while life happens around me. Conversations flow past, decisions are made, laughter erupts—and I'm just there, watching. Not really part of it. A spectator to my own existence. The wheelchair, the hearing aids, the slow speech—I've become background, furniture, atmosphere. Present in form, absent in function.
"For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory."
-- Colossians 3:3-4Enemy weaponizing physical limitations to whisper separation and exclusion from life itself.
Can't keep up with conversation pace, physical barriers to participation, energy too low to engage fully. The gap between wanting to participate and ability to participate creates ghostly half-presence.
Lazarus said NOTHING at the feast, just sat at table with Jesus. Yet verse 9 says the crowd came 'not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus'—his mere PRESENCE testified to resurrection power without a word.
I REFUSE the lie that I am a ghost or that presence without performance equals invisibility. IT IS WRITTEN that my life is hidden with Christ in God—I am not disappearing, I am increasingly ALIVE in Him. Christ IS my life, not my activity. IT IS WRITTEN that in Him I live and move and have my being. My participation is not measured by speech or mobility but by connection to the Vine. I am BARAK-blessed, and my presence carries resurrection power. I appear with Him in glory. I am most alive when hidden in Christ.
While you feel like a ghost, the Father sees you blazing with His glory—your quiet presence in the room releases more of His power than a thousand words, you radiate resurrection simply by being His.
