"I'm a diabetic. I'm a heart patient. My medical chart is my identity now."
How it sounds in your head: You introduce yourself by your conditions now. At doctor's offices, they know you by name. Your pill organizer defines your morning routine. The diseases have become who you are, not what you're fighting.
"But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: 'Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.'"
-- Isaiah 43:1Enemy and medical system collaboration—labeling you by diagnosis to make sickness permanent identity, replacing 'son of God' with 'patient ID number.'
Every appointment reinforces it. Every prescription refill confirms it. Your whole routine revolves around managing conditions, and after years of this, the disease feels more permanent than any other identity you've ever had.
Mephibosheth was crippled, defined himself as a 'dead dog,' living in hiding with his disability as his identity. David INSTANTLY restored him to royalty, gave him Saul's entire estate, and he ate at the king's table for life—identity changed from crippled outcast to royal son in one encounter.
I REFUSE the lie that my medical conditions define who I am. IT IS WRITTEN that God has called me by MY NAME and I am HIS. I am not a diabetic who happens to know Jesus—I am a SON OF GOD who currently has diabetes. My identity is HIDDEN WITH CHRIST IN GOD, seated in heavenly places, blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing. The Abrahamic BARAK blessing flows through my veins more powerfully than any disease. IT IS WRITTEN: by His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, finished work. I declare my body is catching up to what Heaven already declares: I am WHOLE, I am HIS, I am blessed, I am REDEEMED from the curse. My medical chart doesn't get the final word—the BLOOD does.
Your Father sees you running toward Him with every diagnosis label taped to your chest, and He's SPRINTING toward you with the ROBE of righteousness to cover every label. He's not waiting for your bloodwork to improve—He's commanding breakthrough while you're still in the doctor's office, because His love isn't condition-based, it's COVENANT-based.
