"I'll never find someone who actually wants me. I'm not attractive or cool enough."
How it sounds in your head: I look in the mirror and see everything wrong - my acne, my body, my awkwardness. Girls don't even notice me. I'm invisible, and when they do see me, it's never in a good way. I'll probably end up alone forever.
"But the LORD said to Samuel, 'Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.'"
-- 1 Samuel 16:7World's beauty standards and social hierarchy lies, magnified by enemy to destroy identity.
Puberty makes bodies awkward and unpredictable, while social media shows only highlight reels. Early teens are brutal about social ranking, and not being in the 'attractive' category feels like a life sentence.
Leah was called 'weak-eyed' (not attractive) and was unloved by her husband Jacob who wanted her beautiful sister instead. But God saw her, opened her womb, and she became the mother of Judah - the line through which JESUS came.
I REFUSE the lie that my appearance determines my destiny or disqualifies me from love. IT IS WRITTEN that man looks at outward appearance but God looks at the heart, and I am fearfully and wonderfully made. My identity is not found in mirrors, social media, or peer opinions but in Christ who calls me His masterpiece. IT IS WRITTEN that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The BARAK blessing makes me attractive in the spirit realm - favor surrounds me like a shield. I declare divine attraction, supernatural favor, and God-orchestrated connections that see me the way the Father sees me.
The Father doesn't see your acne, your awkward phase, or your insecurities - He sees His son, crowned with glory and honor, radiating His image. He's preparing someone whose eyes He will open to see you the exact same way, and they'll wonder how everyone else missed it.
